Construction

The eight things we get right.

A short atlas of what’s actually inside a J1venvylix piece — from the cotton weight to the embroidery thread to the zipper grade. The kind of detail most apparel brands skip because it costs them margin.

250gsm cotton

Single-mill source · Carolina, NC

The base tee weight. Heavy enough to drape properly, dense enough not to thin out after twenty washes. Pre-washed in cohort.

320gsm fleece

Single-mill source · Lithuania

The crewneck and hoodie fabric. Brushed inside, structured outside. Holds shape through a hundred wash cycles.

Pima cotton long-staple

Source · US-grown, Arizona

For our long-sleeve range. Long fiber means soft hand and minimal pilling — closer to a high-end shirt than a typical longsleeve tee.

Marathon embroidery thread

Source · Detroit, MI

40-weight rayon thread, the same thread used by Detroit’s top-tier custom embroiderers. Holds a clean line forever.

YKK Excella zippers

Source · Macon, GA

The premium YKK pull, in matte gunmetal. Smooth, never catches, will outlast the garment.

Cotton ribbing

Source · Same Carolina mill

For cuffs and waistbands. Tight rib, slow recovery — the part of a hoodie you usually find frayed first. Ours is double-stitched.

Merino wool blend

Source · NZ wool, Italian spinning

For cardigans and limited topcoats. Soft, warm, and naturally moisture-managing without the cost of cashmere.

Pre-wash + pre-shrink

In-house

Every cotton garment is pre-washed in cohort before shipping. The size on the tag is the size after wash. No surprise shrinkage.
